CURRENT RULE: 9.10 Eligibility requirements for the Finals AND/OR year-end awards are as follows (We are only concentrating on these two requirements out of the eight requirements listed under rule 9.10.) : A. Member/horse must have competed in at least five (5) jackpots during the competition year or pay up to five (5) co-sanction fees ($40 per co-sanction fee) to meet the requirements. B. Any member who has not completed the five (5) required runs by the points cutoff date will not be eligible for category awards. Buy-ins are eligible for Open 4D awards only. SUGGESTION: Delete the reference to buy-ins in (A) and delete (B) in its entirety. *

CURRENT RULE: 9.25 Substitution of Horses: • Substituting a membered horse will cost another membership fee, unless the horse being used as the substitute is already a membered horse for the member that is requesting the substitute. • The substituted horse will maintain the original membered horse’s race attendance credits, however, points will not forward to the substituted horse. • If the member’s original horse has not met the five (5) required races, the substituted horse must make up the difference after the substituted date to equal the five (5) races for finals. If there is not enough time to make up the runs, then the member can buy-in at the current rate. (See rule 9.10.) • The substituted horse will not be eligible to run in any categories at finals. It will only be eligible to run in the Open 4D race and be eligible for Open 4D average awards. • The original membered horse may not compete, once substituted, until the next competition year. SUGGESTION: Delete reference to buy-in only. *
