The North State Barrel Racing Association is the only non-profit association of its kind in the northern California region dedicated to promoting the sport of barrel racing. Barrel racing is an event in which a horse and rider race to complete a clover-leaf pattern around three barrels in the fastest time. 100% of the money this association earns goes to benefit and reward its members and competitors.

Last year alone, our association had a core membership of women, men, children as young as three and ranging up to 250 members! Barrel race events are held in the immediate area & co-sanctioned to as far south as Modesto, California, up to southern Oregon and even to western Nevada with over 100 local event races season!

Our members are able to compete in age groups as well as categories based on each horse’s lifetime earnings, giving contestants and horses of all skill levels a chance to win money and/or prizes. At the end of our competition year, the NSBRA holds a two-day finals race where awards are given for the top-ten competitors in each category for the year, as well as for the finals race. It is because of people and businesses, such as yours, that enable the NSBRA to offer fantastic awards for which NSBRA has earned a reputation of awarding its competitors year after year.
